Beautiful wifey....LOVE the neutral Greys. FORMAL CRITIQUE- Use the brushtrokes in the direction you want the eye to move in....push the greys give me dark juicy ones...
I peeked at this from work today and it made me smile...I have no formal critique (but Melissa's seems to make some sense?)...the texture does it for me here, but there's more to it. Maybe it's my monitor display, but it looks/feels on the warm side of neutral to me...and the composition seems like you're meshing your desert side with your transplanted shoreline world. Good times, good times.
This 100 Days' project was created in 2010. I set myself the challenge of playing with paint and a horizon line on a small format. Whether from my mind or from direct observation I hoped that the project filled the well for the visual thesis work ahead of me in the fall.
